Request deletion of your Notebook Runner profile and online data

Playing the game

Notebook Runner can be played offline and without signing up. When its online services connect, the game signs in with a Unity Gaming Services guest player identifier so it can keep scores and friends attached to the same game profile. Friends and World leaderboards, friend-code invitations and optional profile recovery are described below. There are no in-app purchases or separate gameplay analytics services. We do not sell player data. The game shows advertisements through Google Mobile Ads.

Advertisements and privacy choices

The game uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display banner advertisements and optional rewarded advertisements over the internet. After a run ends, you can choose to watch a rewarded ad to continue that run once. Release builds may show live ads; development builds may use Google's demonstration ads, which do not generate advertising revenue for us.

Google's advertising components may process your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), app and advertisement interactions, diagnostics, and device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID. Google uses advertising-component data for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Google documents encrypted transmission and its SDK data practices. Its handling and retention of data are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Google's User Messaging Platform checks whether privacy choices are required in your region. For live ads, we initialize the advertising SDK and request ads only when that platform permits it. If required, a consent form appears before ads are shown, and a Privacy option lets you review or change your choices. If consent information or an ad cannot be obtained, you can continue playing without that advertisement. The privacy check itself communicates with Google.

You can manage ad personalization and your advertising ID through Android's ad privacy settings. Available controls and their location depend on your Android version and device.

Data stored on your device

The game saves your local best distance, sound, vibration and language preferences, cached game-profile information and pending online scores on your device. The Unity Authentication SDK also keeps the credentials needed to reconnect your guest profile. Android's app storage protections apply. Sound, vibration and language preferences are not uploaded by the game. The online profile and leaderboard best described below are separate from these local records; saving a profile does not provide a complete cloud backup of all gameplay and settings.

Android or your device provider may back up or transfer app data according to your device and account settings. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies and are separate from our game.

Online leaderboards, friends and invitations

We use Unity Gaming Services Authentication, Leaderboards and Friends to run these features. Unity stores the game player identifier, public nickname and full friend code, best submitted distance, accepted friendships, friend requests and blocking relationships. The game caches a limited view of this information locally. The code identifies a public player name; it is not a password or an account recovery credential. Please avoid putting private information in your nickname.

The World leaderboard displays public names and scores. Accepted friends can compare their scores in the Friends leaderboard. A submitted score includes the run's final distance, including the optional one rewarded continue. The first result may upload immediately; a higher result after continuing replaces it. New scores completed before the first guest connection can wait locally and upload once that guest profile is established. Later offline scores wait for the same profile to reconnect; unrelated historical local records are not imported into another player's profile.

We use these records to provide the rankings, invitations, friend list and protection against unwanted interactions. The developer can administer the game's online records; Unity provides the hosted services. Requests also involve technical connection and security information processed by Unity to provide and protect its services. Read Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy for Unity's own information practices. This game does not enable Unity Analytics or Unity Ads.

Optional saved profile through Unity Player Accounts

You can choose to save or restore your game profile through Unity Player Accounts using a browser sign-in. Unity manages that account and its sign-in credentials and processes an email address and a unique Unity Player Account identifier. The game receives an authentication token and links the provider identity to the game player identifier. We do not ask you to send us your Unity password. Saving the current profile retains its game identity; restoring another saved profile switches to that identity rather than merging unrelated profiles or local records.

Deleting app storage or uninstalling the game may make an unsaved guest profile unrecoverable. Neither action automatically deletes its online records. Your Unity Player Account can also be used by other games and is distinct from your Notebook Runner game profile.

Sharing your score and friend code

When you choose Share on Home or after a run, the game creates a score-card image on your device and opens Android's sharing menu. The card shows your local best or final run distance and, when available, your public nickname and full friend code. The accompanying message also includes a game download link. You can also choose Share beside your friend code to share a text-only invitation with that code and the download link. The image and/or message are passed to the app you select. That app's handling of the information follows its own privacy policy. We do not upload score cards to our own servers.

Temporary score-card files are stored in the game's app cache. When creating a new card, the game attempts to remove temporary cards more than seven days old. Clearing the app cache removes these temporary copies. Copies you share through another app are managed by that app.

Retention and deletion

Your local best distance is updated when you beat it, and preferences are updated when you change them. Local records remain until you clear the game's storage through Android's app settings or uninstall the game. Device backups may restore earlier data; use your device or backup provider's settings to manage those copies. Clearing app data does not delete the game's online profile, scores, relationships or information already processed by Google or Unity.

Online profile records and the best submitted score are retained while that game profile exists; the current leaderboard has no scheduled reset or score archive. Friend requests, accepted relationships and blocks remain until they are changed, removed or handled through a deletion request. We do not currently apply a fixed inactivity expiry to these game records. Provider security logs and backups follow the providers' own retention practices. Any information that must be kept for a legal obligation or a justified security purpose is restricted to that purpose; we explain relevant exceptions when handling a request.

Request deletion of your game profile and online data

To request deletion of your Notebook Runner game profile, email peire.thomas@gmail.com with the subject Notebook Runner profile deletion. Include your full current friend code from Profile so we can locate the game profile. If you have lost access, explain that in your message. You can reach this section from the game's Profile > Privacy and account > Request deletion action. You can also use this request route without reinstalling or opening the game.

The request covers the game player profile, public nickname/friend code, leaderboard score and associated friendship, request and block records. A public friend code identifies the profile but is not proof that you own it. We may ask for a reasonable way to verify ownership before deleting another person's records. Never send a password, authentication token or session token. This is a request process, not an immediate in-game erase button. We acknowledge receipt, explain any ownership check and provide the expected completion timing. If additional provider assistance is needed, we keep you informed about progress and completion. We may ask Unity to assist with records that the service tools cannot fully remove. We explain the scope completed and any required retention exception in our reply.

Game-profile deletion does not itself erase local app storage or copies held by apps to which you shared a score card. Clear app storage to remove local records, and manage device backups separately. To delete the separate Unity Player Account, use Unity's account deletion page or contact unity-player-login-privacy@unity3d.com. That account may serve other games. Request Notebook Runner game-data deletion separately; deleting a Unity login alone does not guarantee that every leaderboard or relationship record has been removed.

Your privacy rights

Contact the privacy email above to request access, correction or deletion of the personal information we handle, or to raise an objection or other applicable privacy request. Available rights depend on the laws that apply to you. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We use game-profile data to provide the online features and use limited support and security information to respond to requests and protect the service. Advertising choices are handled as described above. Google and Unity may process information in countries outside your own under their published privacy notices and applicable safeguards.

Support and platform services

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond to your request, restrict access to people who need to handle it, and retain it only as long as needed for that purpose or to meet applicable legal obligations. Contact the privacy email above to ask about or request deletion of support correspondence.

Google Play and Android may process installation information, diagnostics, reviews and other platform information under their own settings and policies. Google Play may make app statistics and crash reports available to developers. These platform services are separate from the game itself.
